The Exhibitions

Characters and Concepts

Characters and Concepts is a collection of illustrations inspired by Benjamin Mitchley’s animation, comic book, Inktober, and daily sketch creations. His original ink drawings and daily sketches are scanned and digitally colored. His digital illustrations created on an interactive monitor also form part of this collection. “The moment in my work I leave to the viewer to interpret. As each interpretation might be different, I believe each to be true.”

A NEW POSTER MOVEMENT

Animated posters create a new narrative space: typography and images break their bidimensional boundaries and start moving in the space of the viewer. The AR tool Artivive allows creatives to include a digital layer of animations and sound to their poster design. The original haptics of the poster design stays untouched while the digital layer can be unlocked only through a smartphone or tablet. Posters become a medium for performative art. Advertisements become an artwork, a performance to be experienced.

Featured artists: Aljoscha Höhborn, Alona Vinç, Anna Froese, Asta Cink, Balázs Pusztai, Herwig Scherabon, Katja Protchenko, Lucas Hesse, Marian Fitz, Mario Naegele, Hans Findling, Christian Hohloch, Simon Kubik, imam m ridwan

Travel Tracks

Travel Tracks: A unique immersive exhibition featuring 22 printed artworks with augmented reality animations, inspired by Ugo Monticone’s global adventures book. MissPixels, a pioneer of mobile art, brings the illustrations to life on mobile devices, reflecting the ephemeral nature of memory. Accompanied by sound design from Marc Sauvageau, blending memories of each country. Finalist at Numix 2021 Awards, Ugo Monticone named Artist of the Year by Quebec’s art council (CALQ).

The Little Prince

A mysterious forest, trees and fairy lights everywhere, fog spilling on the ground and a smell that is going to tickle your nose. In this exhibition by the famous artist Eliška Podzimková, visitors will find themselves in the magic world of the Little Prince. “The concept of the exhibition is to create the magical world of the Little Prince, which impresses not only the eyes but also other senses. The main goal is to cut off the visitors from their everyday life and return them to their childhood for a while,” reveals Eliška Podzimková.

Sustainable Singapore

In a triumph of creativity and innovation over environmental adversity, 20 Singaporean artists were brought together by The MeshMinds Foundation to share their visions for the sustainable development of people and our planet through a unique online only exhibition. Featuring original artworks with the theme of ‘Sustainable Singapore’ and the Sustainable Development Goals, the exhibition was the first-of-its-kind with artworks being produced with the help of Procreate and other digital tools.

Each artist used AR app Artivive to apply layers of animated storytelling to static artworks in order to draw attention to various environmental issues affecting Singapore and the world at large. Ranging from quick loops to complex narrative stories, each piece delivers a thought-provoking message on a diverse range of environmental themes and issues.

Featured artists: Andy Yang, Jayne Ong, Wolfsloth, Mithra, Ella Zheng, Araikreva, Alfonsus Wong, EBAO, Darel Seow, M.Y.L.
